Car Title in Tennessee
I hope this is where I can post for help. My son bought a 1976 AMC CJ7. The title was signed off to a car dealership by the first owner.
Where our problem stems is....
The dealership signed the back of the title without registering it with the state. Then the second buyer did the same thing. Now there are 4. The original owner, the car dealership, buyer one from the dealership and the man my son bought the car from. No one should have signed the title but the first owner. How do I get the Jeeps title in our name with all of these unregistered people's signatures?

I would personally consider suing the dealership to provide proper title or, in the alternative, for rescission for their failure to provide proper title.
("Rescission" is the undoing of a contract - they get back the car, and you get back the money, less perhaps an amount for mileage and/or wear and tear.)

Here comes the problem. My son put 3,000.00 so far in new parts to restore the Jeep. So giving it back is not an option. He was too young to drive it. He thought he would get it ready while he waited for the time to get his license.
