Double Insurance on same car

Hello everyone.

I am in CALIFORNIA and have some insurance coverage questions.

I can get full coverage at a great price because of zero accidents or violations. My cousin who also lives in the same house has some accidents/violations on his record.

Is it legal and ok for my cousin to buy his own seperate liability only policy for the same car. (two policies from different companies on same vehicle) so should he get in a at-fault incident it would claim against his policy? Or how does that work?
Who owns the car?
I own the vehicle.
So what you're really wondering is if you can exclude him as a driver (or not declare that he's a driver) for your own insurance, and have him get his own policy in case he gets into an accident. If you try that, make sure you get written confirmation that the insurance policy your cousin gets will actually pay despite his not being an owner of the vehicle. Also consider transfering the car to him, or add him to your policy and have him pay you the difference.
I want get another policy with liability on there both my cousin and I named on its policy. Is there any way for the full coverage insurance to findout I have double policies?

Pretty much I do not want to exclude him nor include him on my full coverage policy. My cousin has a different address on his drivers license, his mothers where he lives most of the year unless he's here for college.
How does that affect anything I wrote? (Unless you are going to try to fake an accident and try to collect against both policies - and I assume you're not intending that.)
No, this question has nothing to do with fraud or anything.

Basically if my cousin has a at fault accident with very little damage to my car, the liability only comes in.

I would not want my full coverage insurance company invovled on it to know my cousin is driving it because he's not listed / excluded and if he was rated at all I would be paying a high prenium.

So I that is my question.
Is he "not listed" or is he "excluded"?
That's correct. He is currently not listed or excluded.
Did you misread my question?
