A thought about CT Gas Advanage Card
Yes, Gas advantage this time and not Cash advantage.
Canadian Tire Gas Advantage Mastercard is not exactly a good deal unless you use a lot of gas. You need to spend over $1000 last month in order to get 10 cents off this month.
If you use 100 litres of gas, your saving is $10. $10 of $1000 spending is a 1% reward.
If you use 200 litres of gas, it is a 2% rewards. How many litres of gas you can use in a month?
Well, if you have Canadian Tire Cash Advantage card, you get 3%.
I have a thought. If you have 12 persons and each uses 100 litres a month and the gas price is 90 cents in average, it will be $1080 of gas. 1200 litres times 10 cents = $120. This will be a 11.1% reward. And, $1080 monthly spending makes you qualify for the next month.
It does not have to be 12 persons. I just throw out that number. If you have a few close friends/colleagues who are driving SUV, you can offer your service. Says, you offer them paying you cash and he will get a 5% kick back from you. More gas you buy from CT, more money you can earn.
Just a thought. It still sounds too much trouble to earn that little.

Yeah, too much work involved.
Better method would be to use the 3% Cash Advantage card to purchase 20% off CT/PC gift cards through the Memberworks programs. Effectively, you're getting 22.4% off gas. The drawback with these discount programs is that you're limited to $500 of CT and PC cards. You can of course trade the other cards for CT/PC (won't be 1:1 since gas cards are more valuable).
