Is xe.com (foreign exchange) reliable?

I'm going to buy quite a sum of US dollars in the near future, can anybody share their experience with this site. Can this company be trusted and how reliable are they?
I personally never used this site. I usually use their website as reference when I exchange money with other brokers. I heard that they are quite reliable. I tend to use Custom House for exchanging any currency.

keep in mind the rate the bank will give you will not be as favourable as what xe.com reports.
They've been around for years! I've used the currency converter since 1997..and they are Canadian based!! Office is in Newmarket

I've used them myself when I lived in Ireland and had a large sum of Euros to exchange. It takes a while to sign up but easily saved me a few hundred dollars from what the banks were offereing.

I'm pretty sure XETrade is run by Custom House.

They are partnered with Custom House so you are getting the same service and rates.
I used them when we moved back from USA to Canada. We exchanged a pretty good amount of cash through them. Didn't have any issues at all; it can take a few days for the money to move about, but the time is worth the difference in excange rate.
I use them about 1x each month for business, to send wire transfers and money exchange and they are good.
Usually fast and good rates.

Their wire transfer prices are great. CIBC used to charge me 45$ for them, but now I use xe.com now it only costs me 12 to 15 bucks each time, and don't have to go to the bank. Plus each time I went to the bank, I ended up losing 30 to 45 minutes of time cause I would end up with some clerk who didn't know how to do a wire transfer.
I have used them a few times for some large conversions and they are pretty good. Setting up the account with Customs House is a long winded affair because they have to do all the checks to ensure you're not doing anything naughty so I would get the account set up way in advance.

Thanks for all the replies. It made my decision easier. I'm going to sign up with them.
This site is good for indication purposes.
