What to do with a $1000
I'm a student and gonna have a summer job this summer and i think ill have about $1000 left after spending it and i was wondering what could i do to make it grow (preferably quickly and painless)
no such thing really.. not much you could do with $1000. Im thinking your just a high school/university student... so youd be freaked out if you lost a penny.
Someone suggested a "market tied GIC" for me... I looked it over and it seems like a sweet deal. Its guaranteed but you have the potential to earn a lil extra.
ill find the thread for you and post it.
edit.. Arg.. i cant find it. But search thru threads i created "noob question re: gic's" or something along those lines.

Yeah, not much you can do to invest with that. Keep the money and use it when you are back in university when you need it.

Easy, just simply plant it near a tree. And soon it will grow, grow into a money tree.

Takes 5 minutes.
