How much do you have to earn before you actually have to pay income tax? I searched rev canada and i couldnt' find it :S. Is it something like 9k tho?

the answer to every tax questions = "It depends"
i.e. your age, marital status, province of residence, etc
For federal tax, everyone has a "Basic Exemption" amount...i believe it's in the neighbourhood of $8400 for 2006
