all pcf mastercard holders plz read

hi guys newbie here. i am interested in applying for the pcf mastercard eagerly. i have a few questions for you guys. first off i'm a student and currently have a summer job. i estimate by the end of my summer break i will make ~$5500. i just want to know if I can possibly get approved with that in the primary income section or should i extrapolate that number to an actual annual income or what should i do?. I have been at my current place of employment for one month now. I have a cibc visa already but want this mastercard. What should I do to get approved for this card? If any of you guys are also students can you give me some advice?
Put your "estimated" annual income in. So whatever you make during the 4 summer months times 3.
just lie on the application. put that you make 40000 a year, they will give it.

lol Not true. They do a credit check on you.
Oh, so if there is ever that thing
how much money do you make?
less than 10 000 a year
10000-20000 a year
20000-50000 a year
50000-100000 a year
100000 - INFINITE!

how do you do that? Wut if you dont work a whole year how should you know? Is it estimated?
Say $10/hour. Say 40 hours a week.
Is it just a 10x40x52 = ANSWER?
or is it what you actually make after taxes and all the deductions?
PC Financial MC was terribly hard to get.

Considering I was approved for a Capital One Platinum MC when Capital One is considered one of the most difficult to get (I they gave me a Platinum).
Are you sure Capital One Platinum is hard to get? I get a letter from them every month or so saying I'm pre-approved.

Wasn't hard for me. Fresh out of university I applied for one right after being hired for my first job. Applied for and got the PCF Mastercard, also opened a PCF bank account at the same time. This was at the loblaws near my home.
thanks guys for your input. anyone else's opinions welcome.

I think my annual income I put was probably around $26,000? Yes I put probably 2 weeks at current employer since i just got hired a few weeks before starting (i remember the number 2 in there somewhere, i'm pretty sure i wasn't working yet since i didn't even set up my direct deposit until after my PCF bank account was created, and I recall the guy at the PCF booth saying he also got hired at the same workplace recently, also the admin lady at this new workplace during orientation looked at my direct payment form and was talking about PCF and how in the future everything will be without tellers ) Note this was a few years ago back in 2002. Maybe they've been tighter since?

It depends, if you have already established history and report the same job then you are right, they will probably not check.

But if it's a new job, they could ask for a paystub to verify.
PCF wasn't around when I was in college, but I remember that credit card companies love giving cards to students! I guess they figure that your parents will pay the bill if you don't. I got my Visa card when the only income I had was a weekend job. I bet you'll get the MC
why dont u get a MC from MBNA instead. it is easy to get one from them, especially if u r a college student and there's a MC designed for ur school. You can switch to their SPG card after u get a student MC.

****PCF requires a landline!!! If u only have a cellphone, they will reject u right away! Stupid policy!

Cap One gives out cards left right and center
PCMC should not be difficult to get if you already have a CC with decent history.

The story I hear is that most ppl get rejected if it is there first card, but after 6 months on a different CC they get approved easily.

Personally, I had no problems getting a PCMC when I was just beginning university. I don't even think I said I made more than $5k a year.
