I applied on line for a providian card yesterday,it said disapproved instantly. I just got an E-Mail stating my application was being processed, did I in fact get denied or is it a computer glitch, I have read that about all it takes is a 600 to get a card from them.

I WAS DENIED WITH A 739...SO I DON'T KNOW...I guess they thought I was too good for them...THEY WERE RIGHT!!!
I just wanted the 0.00% BT they were offering at the time...
Don't think it was 0% on BT's.
I thought it was 14 months 0% on purchases "IF" you BT 100 at the GOTO rate (anywhere from 7.9-9.9).
At the time, I thought it was a good idea (Still do) so I took the bait. 14 months 0% on purchases is one heck of a good deal for someone like me.
Providian sold and closed my never late always under used account to Emerge and jacked the rate to 23%, which was promptly paid off.
Never again no matter what the offer
There are alot of people besides yourself that feel the same way. Betrayed.
